I'm happy to finally be able to comment on this, sorry in advance that this post came out this long but I hope you like it.

Even though I bought lwc from its early days (soon after v2.0 was released) I never published any Live Wallpaper on Google Play because I didn't think those I made were good enough back then. Then v2.1 came along, same thing.
Now with v2.6 I finally saw good potential and made my first group of Live Wallpapers and published them to Google Play.
I do believe Live Wallpapers have a great market, but it all comes back to this question: Are those I make good?
If they aren't good, then you can forget about making money out of it, if they are good enough, then you still have a chance.
I myself decided not to sell them but instead to use Advertising, more specifically Leadbolt's Notification Ads + Start App.

It's my second month now and I'm still new with this but I'm happy to see how I'm starting making over $200 a month from advertising, about $150 a month with Leadbolt and $60 a month with Startapp. That difference come mainly because I started using Startapp later and didn't update my older lwps with their SDK because most users would uninstall them for asking so many new permissions and I thought that may affect my lwps ratings as well.
That revenue as low as it might seem is good enough for me as -side money-, and I'm pretty happy and proud of it because I know this is only the beginning.

My goal now is to double the revenue I'm making by the end of the year and keep improving more and more next year too.

I think the key to all of this is patience, you have to be a very patience person and you have to trust you instinct, that's what tell you what is good, what is not and when is the right time to make a move. And think about this as an enterprise, beginning is very slow, but with time all the pieces start clicking together.

There is a whole market out there full of possibilities, most of them I think we'll be able to explode more when lwc v3.0 arrives, but as for now, if you want to succeed, don't sleep on it, actually go do it!

I hope this post serves as inspiration to those who are just getting started.
I want to thank Vas and Fando for lwc and all people from this forum who has helped me when I needed it.

Final note: I have to admit that the main reason I bought lwc was to make money out of it, so why did I start so late? Because I started when I thought it was the right time and it looks like I wasn't wrong. And as for right now, money is a good motivator, sure, but I make lwps in my free time for fun and you have no idea how good it feels to see comments from people all over the world telling you they like your work, I think that's the main revenue you can have, it feels pretty good and that's something money can't give you. So my final advice is think about money, sure, but people should be the first thing in you mind when making a new lwp.

Fatos is right, but there's a catch, they charge you 20% for that and you still have to have the minimum of $100 in order for it to be processed. And if I'm not wrong, you have to have that $100 minimum after they charge the 20% fee so they can pay you.

oh wow... so, airpush it is! Except I have a problem, I implemented the code as followed in Vas's video tutorial, but I have warnings that come up.. so I thought that may have been the problem, but then I saw that Vas posted a thread saying he missed something in the vid which was importing the airpush_notify.xml file into the layout folder, it gives me an error. So my question is do you have any idea on how to fix this?

When you say you have warnings that come up, do you mean in Eclipse it shows a yellow exclamation mark or something of that sort? Or a red x and it doesn't let you package it?
