I've been lurking and have some newbie questions...

    Hello everyone. I created an account a few days back and have been browsing through the forum. I've got just two easy questions that most everyone will be able to answer. I haven't downloaded the trial yet, but probably will the next chance I have a few spare hours to myself.

    Here are my Q's and thanks in advance for answering:

    1) What's the learning curve like for this software? For me, I know absolutely nothing about writing code, which I understand isn't necessary, but I am tech savvy and I do have an app on the Play Store I made with one of those free cookie cutter app makers.

    2) Where do you guys get your artwork (images) that you use to create your LWPs?

    Not sure if my reply will aid you since I'm a little biased ;)

    1. If you are tech savvy, you should have no problem learning LWC. Writing extra code isn't necessary, and if you want to add ads to your wallpapers, it's simply a matter of following a few tutorials.

    2. Some people make the art themselves. I order commissions on Deviant Art for my apps. You can also use google at your own risk (due to copyright issues). There's a lot of free art available on the net though.

    I'll add my 2 cents.

    1) When I started I knew absolutely nothing about programming. 0 code background. I'd also consider myself tech savvy and I think LWC is pretty simple to use. The hardest part for me was adding the advertising code, but when the video tutorials came out, it made it pretty simple :p. Once you pick a company (or a few if you wanna diversify your income streams), the process doesn't really change. So once you get it down the first time with the video tutorial, you get the hang of it pretty quick and don't even need the video.

    2) I make mostly anime wallpapers, they seem to do well. I either use pics from the actual anime itself or look for fanart that has a contact name so I can ask the artist if it's cool for me to use it.

    Knowing how to use Photoshop is a bonus too, I didn't really know at first but after googling a few basic tutorials for things like contrast/brightness/vibrance tinkering, you can get by without really knowing much :D
