    common facts :-
    gif have unusual effects in android I guess .....higher frame rate gifs won't even play normally in image viewer [sry I use a old phone so my knowledge is limited to only my phone :( ], it might play some frames not all bcuz of memory
    instead of playing gifs..some developer just play a series of images directly one after the other , which produces gif like effect in wallpapers

    I say video is far better ...cuz of compression,quality , and no lags

    Something tells me that will take up a lot of memory for a phone to draw continuously :p

    yeah, okay i'll wait :D

    anyway i have tried it yesterday, and WOW, the falling animation is now more smooth and 'life' XD
    really perfect for windy type :D

    and i'm interested in "center" type for some of my LWP, this is the feature i'm really waiting for.
    but the requirement is not exactly at "center"... (i mean like ur dragonball)
    so can i choose the "center"-type but using coordinate from my pict? how? edit the SBLive Script maybe?

    Do you mean you want the center to scroll with the wallpaper?

    (ah but of course that will do too, when we scroll it and the "designated spot" must be moved too)
    and what i mean is, "the center" is not located "in center"

    the easiest example is your old dragonball lwp

    the kind of particle in goku hand (not the ball). we already can make it easily with 2.6, BUT the position is only in the center.
    can i move it into the position "not in the center" like in the side, or up part, etc?

    i mean, the particle will appear 'only from designated spot'.

    I believe Keitaro is referring to the 3.0 property, Spawn Position, sub property Points:
    • Spawn Position: Determines how items spawn inside the group. There are three possible values:
      • Border: Items spawn outside the border of the group, like it is currently done in v2.1.
      • Random: Allows items to spawn in random locations inside the group bounding box
      • Points: Allows items to spawn in specific user-defined points on the screen.

    Fando will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we are going to HAVE to wait for 3.0 to get this feature. Also in the same thread, we are told about the Group Anchors functionality which will allow us to have spawn coordinates (areas) that will have the option of remaining static (stays in same place even when scrolling) or to scroll with the background (stays in Goku's hand even when scrolling).

    Group anchors: Allow groups to scroll with the background image or remain static. For comparison, the current version (v2.1) has only one group which is anchored to the screen and thus does not scroll.

    Again, Fando correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe these are items that we are simply going to have to wait for version 3.0 to get.... though this forum has shown itself to be a wonderful community with real talent for expanding the default abilities of LWC, so there is the possibility that we would be able to backwards engineer this.

    I want to know that , is there any change in background wallpaper aspect ratio ? from 2.1 to 2.6

    I was using version 2.6 and have seen that making an wallpaper with it is not supporting lower API 7 or API 8 level like 2.2 and 2.3 etc .. its supported API level is 10 .. is it not a problem ??

    How i can get support of this .. i want to make wallpaper for all kind of API level user .. please need urgent help !!

    IS that problem is fix yet ?

    I have a live wallpaper made whith LWC 2.1 and its going pretty well, I would like to update it with LWC 2.6 but Im afraid maybe it will affect to my new downloads,since LWC 2.6 supports android version 2.3.3 and up...any idea

    You can upload 2 versions to Play. The first one will be an update to the old one, which is exactly the same, but specifies Maximum API 7 in the manifest. Then you can upload a new version that will specify API 10 and up in the manifest. Please make a new thread in the help forum if you need help or have a question :)

    Vas I made a live wallpaper with rotating items.I set the rotation speed at 2000 milliseconds=2 seconds per rotation.But...when I start live wallpaper there are some tiny stops djuring rotation of the items, so the user has to set frame rate manually at 90 or 100 in order to have a smoother animation.I want the user to have the frame rate at 90 as default and smoother animation from the begging. Whith eclipse I managed to set 90 as default but still has no effect. Can you advise me what should ai do on Eclipse to set it right, do I have to edit on lwp_settings.xml or SBLiveWallpaper.java or none of them
