Yup. Upload your live wallpaper and then when it appears on Google Play give the link to Leadbolt. Then integrate the Leadbolt SDK into your app, add the code they give you and then update your LWP on Google Play.

hello guys, I do not do that, but with my method you can save some time and also do not need to update the application else ... I have created a web page in which I put some of my wallpapers "description only ".
When I create an advertisement, I insert the link of my site, I compile the code using eclipse and leadbolt sdk and then I upload the live wallpaper with the notification adsto the playstore.
Finally, when the play has approved the LWP store before giving the ok to advertise, I change the link posted before with google play and then when I click on "set active" insert again the link of play the store ...

    in sequence:
    I am going on leadbolt,
    -create a new Android app,
-imposed as a link, to my site,
    -I open eclipse,
-I import the source code of LWP to eclipse,
-I insert the sdk of leadbolt,
    -compile the apk,
    -upload to google-play,
    -aspect-approval by google play,
-change the link of the application (by clicking on edit settings) with inserting the link to google play,
-I click on "set active" and insert the link to google play....

... and then I wait for the money ...:p :);)

I hope I was clear ... any questions just ask
    sorry for my english ....

Nah dude, when you go to add the advertisement stuff in eclipse open the manifest and you'll see these lines at the top:

    <manifest
    xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    package="companyname.yourlivewallpapername" android:versionCode="1"
    android:versionName="1.2">

The part that says " android:versionCode="1" " is what you need to pay attention to. Change the 1 to any number higher then 1 or the number that's there already and that's it. Google Play will then accept it as an update over what is there now because the number version is higher then the existing application. Its that simple.

Stollo770 Im right now at the manifest...I changed like you said,I changed version code 1 to 1.2 but after I save it,the 1.2 is marked whith a red line saying error>float types not allowed at versionCode whith value 1.2....I tryed 1.1 than 1.5 same thing again,is that ok or not

No problem. And yeah it doesn't take decimal places. You got to have whole numbers in there. Probably should have been more clear on that.

Just got the software and joined the forum, was reading a bit here in advertising and thought i might comment on appbucks.

i just released and sound app today with appbucks built in. A super simple one that i could care less about and that makes it a great test bed. The code was super simple to put in. the hardest part that anyone might run into is making a new class called BootReciever. That can be a bit tricky if you aren't use to using things like eclipse very much. They also dont tell you how to do it in the guide, they just say to do it. lol

The user agreement on the first boot up looks a lot like a software agreement. Like the ones that make you agree or you cant run the software. Because of this they say there is an 80% accept rate. I love it because i can include in the description that they can opt out if they don't like ads. this stops most complaints dead cold about advertising.

There is an initial delay for either push or icon ads to start showing up after the app is installed and the person accepts the agreement during the first boot of the app.

Push can be an initial delay of 8 hours or 1 day. With the option of 1 or 2 per day after that.

Icon can be initial delay of 1 day to 3 days. With the option of 1 or 2 per week after that.

I chose to only do icon ads because I have never liked push ads. People say they generate a lot of revenue but i have never implemented them in anything. I only personally like push notifications if it comes from my email or a news app.

The whole one day delay thing slightly ticks me off about icons. About 10% of my apps installs are uninstalled within the first 24 hours. So i lose quite a bit of action right there.

Since i didn't find any way to do a simple test with the icon system i have to wait the 24 or so hours for the first icon to show up. I have never used an icon before so this should be interesting. However i did temporarily turn on push notifications because they start working on a phone much faster. So i can tell if everything is perfect in a shorter time.

I will post back here on results. if it isn't too annoying i am going to put it in the next update of another app i have. Its got about 50k active users so that would be a hell of a test. Then i could really show some serious numbers.

well app-bucks was pure hype. gave them a crap load of clicks and traffic for a total of $0.04 after 3 days. Put in leadbolt in other apps. after not even 2 days about $10 revenue.

    Ripping out app-bucks this week.

I have to admit that I didn't get phenomenal results either with them. I've taken them out since.

PS. Welcome to the forum, @hubris!

    thanks.

Took me a bit this weekend to get the splash screen and opt in agreement stuff working for leadbolt but it looks pretty nice now. If anyone else hasn't done it i might make a tutorial about putting it in for a live wallpaper. I like the agreement part and others might as well. BTW the splash screen makes an app look a lot more professional. Not sure why but you get a sense that its going to be better than others if you have to wait 5 seconds for it to load. LOL

But i do need to actually make my first wallpaper...... Then i will do the tutorial if it hasn't been done.

    Hey Everyone,

This is an older thread, but I wanted to reintroduce AppBucks. My name is Paul and I'm an engineer on the AppBucks team.

We have just updated our SDK in response to Google's new Content Policy Update, and, as you know, Push and Icon ad units have been banned. As a result, those have been removed. In their place we have introduced a Display / Banner ad unit, an Interstitial ad unit (good on-exit ad unit), and a compliant out-of-app ad unit that is brand new. Check out http://www.app-bucks.com/ to sign up for an account and download the latest SDK.

We are running a promotion right now where if you implement the new SDK and make $100 within the month of September, we will credit you with an additional $100.

I'm available here and on skype, at apshoemaker, if you need anything.

    Thanks!

    Paul
